Owl cams: Live camera feeds from a barn owl nest box

Live owl cameras

Please bookmark this page and access the cameras from this page, instead of bookmarking direct access to the individual camera pages. In this way you will always be linked to the live camera feed instead of to a discontinued or out-of-order camera feed.

  1. We may change our streaming providers from time to time, and if so this page will have the correct new link.
  2. The cameras may be unavailable at some times (e.g. for maintenance, out of order, or if we disconnect them due to heavy loading).

Archived barn owl photos and video clips are available on our blog. Currently (20-08-2025) owls are only rare visitors. All four owlets grew and fledged successfully and have dispersed to find their own territories. Based on previous experience the female parent may make return to make use of the box for daytime roosting, especially over the over the winter (e.g. from October), or may not return until the early spring nesting season.

When there is sufficient light you will see a colour image. At time of low-light (overnight, and during some daytime conditions) the cameras automatically switch to infrared mode (using 940nm infrared lighting) which gives a greyscale image.
